The 64º Congresso Nacional de Botânica (64º Botanic National Congress) was held in Belo Horizonte (MG) and occurred at the same time with the XXXIII Encontro Regional de Botânicos MG, BA e ES (Regional Botanic Meeting of MG, BA and ES).
An important event for the community of researchers on Myrtaceae was a Myrtaceae Satelite Meeting that occurred during the Congress. There, we had the opportunity to discuss some topics very important to narrow the relationship between the taxonomists and interested on Myrtaceae
